During my semester abroad in Edinburgh, I was afforded multiple opportunities to travel the European continent. On one opportunity, I was able to visit Krakow and the former Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.

I hope these frames tell a compelling story of two nearby places—one vibrant with life, the other bearing witness to a profound and terrible history.
