Sample collection of photos taken while exploring Chicago during the summer of 2012. Around this time, I would often experiment with various image treatments and illusions around scale.

Miniature Effect

The following images were taking from the Sears Tower and edited to create a “miniature” effect. To do this, I added a selective blur on the top and bottom of each photo. With only a fraction of the image in focus, our brains are tricked to believe that the image contents are quite small in scale.
